Game to Glam!

If you didn’t already know, I have started a makeup series on my Twitch channel where I take video game characters and turn their color palette into a glam look that you can actually wear outside. I guess its my intro into face painting, but we will get into that later! I started with the Overwatch game by Blizzard and have completed a few looks already. I usually post a poll on my twitter account so everyone can vote on what they want to see next. Next up will be Sombra and I am super excited about it! Some of the items have a link to a VOD but they don’t stay up forever, so watch while you can!

The first look we have is the most recent look I did. Its inspired by Junkrat. For the eyes I used the shade Dagger from the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette, Burnt orange and Realgar from the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette and The shades, Bright Yellow, Dark Golden Olive and Kiwi Green from Coastal Scents. I topped that with NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner in Halo and Colour Pop lippie stick in Frenchie. For the final touches I added House of Lashes Iconic and Too faced Melted Matte on the lips in Lady Balls. You can watch the VOD of the live stream here

Next up we have Widowmaker. For the eyes I used the shades Baby Pink, Deep grape, Neon Bright Pink and Lavender by Coastal Scents. For the dots I used NYX Vivid Brights in Violet and Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. I finished the look with House of Lashes Iconic and the lips are NYX Liquid Suede in Run The World. You can see the VOD of the live stream here

Lucio!!! This is my favorite character from Overwatch and I had a ton of fun creating this look. For the eyes I used Shamrock Green, Teal Green and Bright Yellow from Coastal Scents. I lined the eyes with NYX Vivid Brights in Sapphire and then did the sound waves in NYX Vivid Brights in Halo. I finished up the eyes with House of Lashes Iconic and the lips is actually the same NYX Vivid Brights liner in Sapphire. I do NOT recommend using this on your lips for a going out look. It gets super dry and actually make my lips very dry for a few days afterwards.

Finally we have Tracer. The eyes I used the shades Bright Tangerine, Light Tangerine and bright yellow from Coastal Scents. I winged the liner with NYX Liquid Suede in Little Denim Dress and finished the eyes with House of Lashes Iconic (can you tell what my favorite lashes are yet? lol) The lips are done in NYX Liquid Suede in Little Denim Dress and added some white liquid lipstick to make an ombre effect.

Let me know if you guys would like to see more of these looks and I hop you enjoy!

Disney Infinity

A few things to know about Disney Infinity.

I have to say when I saw DI at E3 I was really excited!! I still am of course! Logging in so many hours on a game is a rare thing for me as of late. But for anyone getting ready to buy it or is on the fence about it… there are a few things you need to take into consideration before your purchase!

1. The starter kit
The DI starter kit comes with the play plate, three characters (Sully, Mr. Incredible and Cpt Jack Sparrow). If you are planning to go it alone (Single Player) then this is obviously the way to start. * Keep your card with the code on it that comes inside the box. This will unlock the characters for gameplay on a PC/Mac or iPad (Coming soon).

2. Co-op
If you are planning to co-op then there will be additional purchases required. You must have two characters from a set if you are going to be doing the campaign. So if you have Sully, You need either Mike or Randy to play co op. *Toybox mode does not require the same set characters to play.

3. Power Disks
Those mysterious little bags that come with two disks are actually quite helpful. At 5 bucks a bag you can easily rack up quite a bill trying to get them all. These are actually pretty neat for in game play though. You can change the atmosphere of the toy box, add power ups to your campaign or special vehicles you can drive around.

4. Sets
In each story i.e Monsters University, Incredibles, Pirates… You need to have each character from that specific set to unlock the Vault. The vault is something that you can open to unlock a huge set for the toybox! This will come in handy when you are in the toybox trying to build something awesome!

5. Toybox
I recommend not even going into the toybox until you have completed some of the campaign stories. You will not have very many items to use and its not a very fun experience if you cannot even build anything.

Of course there is a ton more involved in this game and I haven’t even been able to play all of it. The world is huge, each story is fun and entertaining. Ill be posting more after I have played all of the stories. I have completed Monsters U, Incredibles, Lone Ranger (Thanks Dalton for the wedding gift) and currently working on Pirates and Cars.

Next month they are releasing a new set of stories and I cannot wait!!

What do you think of DI?
